Pastor Pat
Rickenbacker is the Pastor and Organizer of the Living Hope Fellowship
Missionary Baptist Church, Massapequa, New York. Dr. Rickenbacker received the
calling through a vision to go forth and start a Mission. This Mission was
planted in an area in East Massapequa where there was no Christian congregation.
The Living Hope Fellowship Baptist Mission was organized in February 1991, and
incorporated in March 1992.
Pastor Rickenbacker
holds a BA from SUNY Old Westbury, an MS in Counselor Education from C.W. Post
College, Greenvale, NY and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary,
NY. In May 2001, Pastor Rickenbacker received her Doctorate of Ministry from
the United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. Her dissertation was duly proved
on "Church, School, Community and Parents in Collaboration to Raise Academic
Achievement in At-Risk High School Students".
Pastor Rickenbacker
has expertise in Substance Abuse Counseling. She has worked as a Drug
Rehabilitation Therapist, Alcoholism Counselor, and an Intake Specialist at
facilities such as APPLE Rehabilitation Center, Brunswick Hospital Center, and
ALBA-NECK Halfway House. She was previously employed as a Guidance Counselor in
the Wyandanch & Amityville School Districts, where she retired her position and
is now serving full time in the ministry where God has planted her.
Some of Dr.
Rickenbacker's affiliations include: The Eastern Baptist Association, New York,
Inc.; the Empire Missionary Baptist State Convention, New York, Inc., in
October, 2002 she was appointed Assistant Dean of the Empire State Convention,
Inc. and in March, 2004 was appointed Assistant Dean of the Eastern Baptist
Association. She has previously served as a member of the faculty of the Empire
Baptist Congress of Christian Education and the Young Adult Division Coordinator
for the Empire Baptist Congress One-Day Retreat. In August, 2003, Dr.
Rickenbacker was a guest lecturer for doctrinal candidates at United Theological
Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She is a member of American Baptist Churches,
METRO-NY; the Parliamentarian for the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville &
Vicinity and a member of the Interfaith Clergy Association of Massapequa, NY.
Pastor Rickenbacker is
married to Deacon John Rickenbacker they have three children and four
grandchildren.
