Question: Why do churches differ? Answer: Churches differ for three main reasons: beliefs differ, people differ and cultures differ. There are many people who believe in God, but differ in the way they express, or practice their belief. There are those who need to hear the word and worship in a quiet and subdued way. While there are others who desire the freedom to respond to God in more vocal and physical ways. People's culture also influences the way they worship and how they relate to God. They worship according to who they are as a community of people with shared mores and values and where they feel comfortable. So that's why churches differ, that they may meet the varied needs of people.
Question: How can I believe in God until I get my question answered? Answer:
We can believe in God until we get our questions answered, first by recognizing His power and presence in nature and all around us. Everywhere we look we see the evidence of God's works and power. This evidence assures us of His ability to answer. We can believe in God until we get the answer because He has made caring provision for His creations Jesus says in Luke 12 beginning at verse 22 and following, "to consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barns; and God feeds them: how much more are you better than the fowls…" And then He says, "consider the lilies how they grow… and how God clothes the grass, how much more will He clothe us." Then He says for us to "fear not", for it is God's good pleasure to give you the kingdom, if you seek Him first. So you can believe in God until you get your answer because God cares for you and has both the power to answer and the will to give you what you need. Therefore all you must do is to patiently seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened; and ask, and it will be given to you.
Question: Do you think the Anti-Christ that the Bible Talks about is alive today? Answer: I believe that the spirit of the Anti-Christ is alive and well today. Anything that exalts itself above the word of God and denies the Deity of Christ is of that spirit. However, I believe that the Anti-Christ that is spoken of in the Book of Revelation has not manifested him or herself yet. Nevertheless, I believe that the time is swiftly approaching in light of all the signs that were given leading up to the ushering in of the fulfillment of the end time prophecies, and that the stage is being set for the final conflict of this world. This is why we need to reach out with urgency to the unsaved with the word of God.
Question: What is the Holy Spirit? Answer:
This question should not be "What is the Holy Spirit?" The question is "Who is
the Holy Spirit", because the Holy Spirit is neither a thing nor an it, neither is it a feeling. The Holy Spirit is a person. He is the third person of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. He is God! The Holy Spirit is the comforter that Jesus promised to send after his job on earth was done, and he ascended back to the Father in heaven. The Holy Spirit is a teacher sent from God, the Father, to teach us all things and bring to remembrance the things that Jesus said and taught. The Holy Spirit is a counselor and keeper who dwells within every believer to help us understand God's word and guide us along the path of righteousness. He gives every believer at least one spiritual gift to build up and edify the body of Christ, and gives us the empowerment to exercise that gift to the glory of God.
Question: How do I know God answers prayers if nothing happens? Answer: It may only appear that nothing is happening in response to your prayers, because it is written in God's word in Psalms 86:7 "In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou will answer me." So God is not ignoring you because whenever you pray, know that God both hears and answers. Isaiah 65:24 says, "and it shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Where you can get stuck is when you forget that God answers prayers in three ways,
yes, no, or wait. So even though it may seem that God has not heard or answered your prayer, because you don't see anything happening or changing, understand that this is not the case. If you have asked with a sincere heart by faith, God has already answered, and he is simply working out the details for your good according to His divine will and purpose for your life. And remember, like a good parent, God sometimes says no or wait when it is in our best interest, but He is faithful to let you know clearly in His own time.
